This 1821 Large Date specimen features olive-gray surfaces which are compliment by peripheral orange gold. Well preserved with steely fields that provide pleasing reflectance during angled lighting review. Unquestionable originality is certain to delight the winner bidder for years to come. 	1821 Large Date	VF30	PCGS 36662993	JR-4	Choice	$440	Near-Gem at Grade, Crusty Coin Gray, Steely Fields, Unabraded. The Philadelphia mint struck a total of 1,186,512 dimes during 1821 with 8 obverse and reverse dies. Six of the ten known die pairings are common while the others are rare. This JR-4 example falls in the available category making it affordable. Worthy of a near-gem quality rating as this piece is entirely unabraded along with exhibiting steely fields and a natural coin gray crust. Dirt fills the loops of the 8 digit along with the reverse vertical shield lines. A premium example that is certain to please the selective collector. This 1821 JR-5 dime does not warrant a long description as the images provide everything one needs to know about this offering. Surfaces are evenly worn and nicely preserved with a natural coin gray patina. Surfaces are well preserved considering the amount of time in circulation. The circulated eye appeal is certainly satisfying. CAC green bean approval provides further validation of the premier quality. Housed in PCGS Gen 5.0 (2015) holder with CAC approval.

This 1827 JR-3 Capped Bust dime offering is another case where the GFRC photography has hit a home run. My images accurately capture the crusty coin gray patina and choice surfaces. JR-5 is a scarce variety that is difficult to locate above VF30. Guaranteed to entertain those pursuing the series while on a limited budget. Housed in new large font NGC holder with CAC approval.
	1827 Flat Top 1	F12	PCGS 31995798	JR-2	Choice	$550	Scarce Redbook Variety, Partial Circulated Cameo Presentation, Natural Coin Gray. GFRC Client Buyback. 1827 JR-2 is a rare die variety is that is difficult to locate in any condition with most survivors found at the VG level. This variety is separately listed in the Redbook at Flat Top 1 with a substantial premium over the other common varieties. The die pairing is found with a well struck obverse and weakly struck reverse including denticles. This new example is toned natural gray with partial circulated cameo eye appeal on the obverse. The reverse struck is weak at the center and has a "dished like" appearance at the denticles. A few ancient lines are present on the obverse but more than consistent with the assigned grade. Housed in PCGS Gen 5.0 (2015) Dupont hologram holder with CAC approval.
	1829 Small 10C	VF35	PCGS 35731358	JR-7	Choice	$295	Small 10C, Crusty Olive-Gray, Superb Preservation. "Crusty" is the operative word for this strictly original 1829 JR-7 dime. Though the patina is quite thick, bright light exposure reveals steely fields and hints of remaining luster. Coloration is a gun metal bluish-gray in the fields while the peripheries have olive-gold shades. Pristine fields are entirely unabraded. This is a lot of coin at the offer price. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder with CAC approval.
	1831 Counterstamped	F12	NGC 4475324001	Brunk E-259	Original	$325	EXTRA Reverse Counterstamp, Original Gray Patina, Accurately Graded, Quality Capped Bust Exunomia. Original preservation state with thick gray patina. The letters EXTRA have been deeply punched into the reverse resulting in obverse metal deformation and excessive wear across the obverse. Housed in new large font NGC holder. A quality exunomina offering from a New England dealer.
	1834 Large 4	AU55	PCGS 34870461	JR-6	Choice	$675	Frosted Luster, Wicked Good Strike, Near-Gem, Thinning the Herd Collection. This near-gem 1834 JR-6 dime screams originality along with having a wicked good strike. Yes indeed, this piece is a looker that promptly captured my attention. We kick-off with frosted/steely obverse fields with their silver glow under angled lighting. That same glow is a bit more intense on the reverse due to less toning. Strike is hammered resulting in pointed stars and all motifs being in high relief. Accurately graded and housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder. I believe this piece has been submitted to CAC, but with or without the green bean, the overall quality and presentation is the same.
	1835	MS62	NGC 4738869007	JR-5	Choice	$1325	Old Time Eye Appeal, Steely-Frosted Luster, Hammered Strike, Osprey Collection. GFRC images accurately capture the presentation and eye appeal of this 1835 JR-5 Capped Bust dime. Speckled deep gray toning is readily evident along with light golden background hues. Overall strike is hammered with deeply impressed hair curls and stars along with eagle claws and feathers. A 10x review found pristine surfaces. Why the MS62 grade? The luster is consistent with that certified grade level. Perfect for a type set or whatever reason for purchasing. Housed in new large font NGC holder.
	1835	EF40	NGC 2106462025	JR-1	Choice	$350	Mottled Rose Toning, Residual Steely Luster, Bold Strike. Placing this 1835 JR-1 dime under angled lighting exposes pretty steely luster including residual mint frost surrounding the stars and legend. Unfortunately, GFRC images only capture the in-hand rose mottled toning but not the luster. Therefore, please trust my eyes if considering a purchase. Strike is fully executed though there is wear on the high points, but then again, this is an accurately graded EF40. CAC has only approved 9 at the certified grade. Housed in new large font NGC holder with CAC approval.
	1836	AU55	NGC 4061050003	JR-1	Original	$615	New April 16! Near-Choice Original, City by The Bay Collection.. Consignor Price Reduction. Deep color fills the rims of this late-date Bust dime, contrasting with silver-shaded devices. Most of the protected areas exhibit more intense toning, while high points are lighter. JR-1, with star 13 nearly touching the curl. Three JR varieties exist for this year, with the JR-1 and JR-3 being slightly more challenging than the JR-2. A few field lines in the left obverse field are noted. NGC has graded 366 pieces total, with 20 examples in AU55 and 167 coins finer. The NGC price guide is $650 in AU55. Housed in a NGC Gen 17 (2004-2008) holder. PCGS #4528.
