If searching for a premium 1863-S dime without wishing to pay a steep CAC premium, then this well preserved City By The Bay duplicate should be promptly considered. This example is conservatively graded with moderate gray patina. Strike is nearly complete, which is substantial for this Civil War issue. Only the top of Liberty head's is not completely impressed. Fields are close to unabraded with only a single line from the right facing arm to the M in AMERICA requiring mention. This is an ideal candidate for a circulated date and mintmark set.
