A crusty original example of the WB-1 die pairing struck with early die state dies. Heavily die polish lines are seen between the pole and Liberty's right facing shoulder. A thick gun metal gray-blue patina covers the obverse with lighter gray on the reverse. Strike is completely executed other than the usual weakness at eagle's left facing leg.
