Bright centers lead toward tan and olive color at the obverse rim, while the wreath is surrounded by intense maroon and gold patina. A few field lines are noted, none inconsistent with the grade level. The wreath is softly struck, typical for the issue, while the bow knot is more sharply defined. F-101, the only die pair for this lower-mintage issue. A good set of dies could last for a quarter million strikes, but only 157,500 were required in this year.
