Consignor Price Reduction - Mirrored fields are immediately noted when first inspecting this rare 1874 $2.5 gold piece. Mintage is a tiny 3,920 pieces with few Mint State survivors certified by PCGS. This Oregon Beaver example warrants close attention as the reflective luster is quite crisp. Coloration is honey-gold with some background greens appearing with angled lighting. Bright light eye appeal is quite pleasing. So why the MS62 grade? A 10x review locates scattered field micro lines and a few ticks.
