Gem $8500 Late Date Low Mintage Issue, Gem Original, Oregon Beaver Collection.. Few Liberty Seated dollars were struck between 1879 and 1890 due to a lack of commercial demand. Though sporting a mintage of 5,200, Mint State survivors are available with the median grade being MS63. The newest Oregon Beaver bank box releases is an MS66 example and only one of five certified at grade with another five finer. Rich frosted luster erupts once placing this piece under my LED desk lamp. Swirling cartwheels are quite satisfying too. Toning is intermixed aquamarine, rose, and yellow-gold. Strike is complete with raised center star points and bold motifs. There is on tick on the upper left facing arm and a trace of micro-chatter in the right obverse field. Housed in PCGS Gen 6.0 (2015-2020) holder.
