 Gem $6500 Gem Original, Oregon Beaver Collection.. Even coffee patina covers the obverse center of this high-grade San Francisco piece, with original silver color remaining in the protected areas. The reverse reveals intermixed steel, tan, and deep maroon color throughout. A few stars are softly impressed. Despite a mintage of 3.2 million examples, CAC notes 60 coins total, a remarkably low total. The CAC census includes ten pieces in MS66 and just two examples finer, both in MS67. The CAC price guide value is $6,000. With a price jump to $21,600 in MS67, this is the finest example one can hope to acquire in the mid-four figure range. Ex. Eric P.
