Choice $550 Underrated Type 3 Date, Frosted Luster, Honey Green-Gold, Twin Lakes Collection. Though often lumped into the "common" Type 3 bucket with its 1857 and 1858 predecessors, 1859 strikes are challenging to locate in all grades. The Twin Lakes Collection has released a signature AU58 example with frosted luster and honey green-gold coloration. Surfaces are essentially unabraded and pleasing under a 10x. This is an underrated date and a notable value at the offer price. Don't think too long in this offering as it might sell quickly to an astute U.S. gold collector.
