Choice $1750 New April 7! Early New Orleans Date, Frosted Luster, Rose-Gold Patina, New Orleans Collection.. Though 1841 New Orleans Seated dime production generated a tad over two million strikes, the number of surviving Mint State examples is diminutive per the PCGS population report. The MS63 population stands at 7 pieces with only 10 finer. The MS63 to MS64 price jump is nearly 4X suggesting that this date appears to be undervalued at current pricing levels. This New Orleans Collection release features natural frosted luster and rose-gold toning. The strike is complete which is atypical for this issue. Two ancient and well hidden lines in the right obverse field preclude a CAC green bean though the surfaces and luster and 100% original and pleasing for a survivor of that era. Worthy of consideration. Housed in PCGS Gen 4.4 (2005-2011) holder.
