 Original $235 New April 22! Crusty Patina, Lapped Obverse Die, Gerry Fortin Reference Collection. Moderately thick crusty gray patina is denser on the obverse than reverse for this 1840-O F-107 dime. This die pairing is easily attributed by a lapped reverse with diminished devices and a weak date punch. The reverse is more lightly toned. A near-choice example with some coloration and decent eye appeal. This piece was my reference F-107 example as the web-book plate coin was borrowed from a 1990s numismatic friend for images.
