Comments: The die area to the left of the die crack at the tops of UNIT(ED S)TATES on Reverse E has further degraded. A partial cud has formed indicating significant die deterioration.

Obverse 4 is also found in a later die state with a die crack visible at Liberty's head and through Star 8, the Liberty cap and Star 9.
